North of L.A., The Glenmark Is Ready for Business

In Glendale, a new Tribute Portfolio property moves forward despite the pandemic.

Small hotels, where planners can more easily control the mix of attendees and other travelers, could be in demand as meetings begin again. The Glenmark Hotel, a new property just north of Los Angeles, might fit the bill for groups that can fit their business into its two meeting rooms, each 815 square feet, or Mila (shown below), the property’s 4,500-square-foot rooftop bar.

The art-inspired Glendale, Calif., property opened July 17 with 85 guest rooms, not far from entertainment giants Dreamworks Animation and Walt Disney Studios, and close to the Los Angeles Zoo.

The lobby bar will come online once California’s coronavirus emergency orders allow it.

The property’s 1,000-square-foot fitness center includes Peloton stationary bikes and other cardio machines. The Los Angeles International Airport is about a 40-minute drive from the hotel.
