THE LATEST:
  • Founded in West Hollywood, Calif., in 1998 as a site selection company, ConferenceDirect has increased its meeting management capabilities significantly, and the 361 full-service meetings and incentives planned and executed for corporations in 2015 have qualified the company to make the CMI 25 list for the first time this year.
  • CEO Brian Stevens is the chair-elect of Meeting Professionals International.
  • Jerry Horan, who has served as COO for the Conference Direct since 2011, was promote in April to president and COO.
  • Mike Fegley, longtime sales executive at InterContinental Hotels Group and most recently a group vice president at PSAV, joined ConferenceDirect in July as senior vice president, business development.
  • The company has grown to 2,800 customers; the newest include the Walt Disney Co. and the American Trucking Association.
