EventView 2006, the fifth annual study of how marketing professionals use meetings and events, documents a slight decrease in the percentage of marketing dollars earmarked for meeting and events and other indicators of their perceived importance in the marketing mix. At the same time, the study leaves little doubt of their strategic role and high perceived return on investment.
