new twist on an old game

Created in the 1970s, disc golf is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, though, players use a flying disc, or a Frisbee, which they need to get into each target in the fewest number of throws.

There are more than 1,200 disc golf courses in the United States. For more, visit the Professional Disc Golf Association at www.pdga.com.
