AT A GLANCE: It was a busy spring for MD Events. In March, the company rebranded to focus on its three divisions—life sciences, corporate, and destination management (Asia and Brazil)—and launched a corresponding Web site. In April, the company, which is headquartered in Bracknell, England, announced new offices in Singapore and Sacramento, Calif., to complement others in Norristown, Pa.; Hong Kong; Rio de Janeiro; and St. Petersburg, Russia. And in May, MD Events announced it had been awarded the Women’s Business Enterprise Seal of Certification. In other news, Agnès Canonica, CMP, CMM, general manager, Americas, was selected by the Convention Industry Council to serve a three-year term on the Certified Meeting Professional Governance Commission.
