American Express Meetings & Events and Maritz Travel dissolved their Maxvantage alliance in early 2013. The companies will serve their strategic meetings management clients separately. AEME is now part of the newly formed American Express Global Business Consulting & Solutions group, focused on advisory services and access to data assets for corporate clients. In late 2012, AEME expanded its relationship with Cvent, launching a customized meeting planning Web portal that helps corporate clients register, source, and track their meetings.
