Reed Medical Education group launches its first event

From the press release:

The recently launched Reed Medical Education group, a sister company of Elsevier (NYSE:RUK/ENL) has announced the debut of its first event, Oncology World Congress, to be held November 17-19, 2005 at the New York Marriott Marquis.

The Oncology World Congress is a US-focused multidisciplinary educational event providing community and academic-based oncologists and hematologists with essential tools and knowledge - keeping them up-to-date on the evolving spectrum of oncology practice, enabling them to keep current with the latest clinical data, practices, advancements, and technology within the "world" of oncology.

The Congress will provide CME credits sponsored by the Elsevier Office of Continuing Medical Education, and the content will be developed under the direction of the distinguished advisory board consisting of more than 25 of the country's leading oncologists, and led by Waun Ki Hong, MD, from M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. According to Dr. Hong, "The motivation behind the Oncology World Congress Advisory Board is to give back to the oncology community by providing a state-of-the-art; unbiased educational event that will impart knowledge while delivering clinically relevant, practical information that can easily be translated into oncology practice."
