Peace and quiet in the air?

This article from the Washington Post tackles the age-old question of what to do when you get stuck on a long flight with a chatty seatmate. The best solution, it seems, is to don some headphones whether or not you want to listen to some tunes, but I like the idea of throwing a blanket over your head or pretending not to speak your seatmate's language--the lengths people will go to not to have to say "I don't feel like talking with you"!

I tend to bury my nose in a book as soon as I sit down, but that doesn't always deter the determined chatters. What do you do?
