Not to belabor the point...

With the hotel working strike going on now in several San Francisco hotels, and strike watches at several more in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., unions and contract renewals are (I would hope) in the forefront of planners' minds. One other thing to think about: My husband, in San Francisco for a show, is not staying at a hotel with a picket line--but there is one right across the street. He said the noise was pretty bad. One more thing to check into might be not only the status of your hq hotel's union, but those of its immediate neighbors, as well.
