Librarians going wild

I loved this writeup from the Globe and News about the Special Libraries Association annual conference that just took place in Toronto: Librarians as Tech-Savvy Sleuths. It appears that the writer was having some fun with the whole thing, and with turning the librarian stereotype on its head. But the last lines were a killer:

On Sunday, the conference kicked off with unorthodox renditions of O Canada and The Star-Spangled Banner, compliments of Huutajat, a Finnish male choir whose 24 members shout out their songs.

"Having a shouting choir at a library conference," Ms. Wilson said, "I think is somebody's idea of a joke."

Thanks to my librarian friend and fellow Capsules coblogger Anne Taylor-Vaisey for the link!
