Learning from the Navajos

In this article from KansasCity.com, Lori Arviso Alvord, a Navajo who grew up on a reservation in New Mexico who now is a surgeon and an associate dean at Dartmouth Medical School in New Hampshire, talks about a talk she gave to CME groups at St. Luke‘s Hospital and the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences about how Navajo beliefs, ceremonies and cultural practices and how they relate to healing. It's an interesting read.
