Is giving the consumer a voice a threat or an opportunity?

That's what this article, Consumer Generated Media (Blogs, Discussion Boards, Review Sites), a Threat or an Opportunity?, asks. The answer, to my mind, is a great big "opportunity." I was heartened to hear that 81 percent of hoteliers surveyed said the same.
