All I can say is, hallelujah: FCC says 'no' to cell phones on planes. The very thought of being trapped next to a cell phone yapper on a flight is enough to make me want to go Greyhound, so I was beyond glad to hear the FCC has shelved the idea. At least for now. The scary part is that, according to the article, "the issue may come up again. The agency said it may 'reconsider this issue in the future if appropriate technical data is available for our review.'"
