CME provider gets into advocacy

Philadelphia-based Current Communications Company, an ACCME-accredited company that develops educational activities for physicians across all media and creates Internet-based educational materials and resources for the general public, has launched a "Donate an Idea" program to increase awareness about breast cancer. It's a great concept:

Believing that the best ideas come from real people, BreastCancerADVISORS.org is asking the breast cancer community, including patients, caregivers, researchers, and medical professionals, to "Donate an Idea" for increasing breast cancer awareness. The idea judged best by BreastCancerADVISORS.org will be posted on our Web site, and every effort will be made to secure funding to turn the idea into reality. There's even an easy way for Web site visitors to tell friends, family, and coworkers about the program with a prewritten e-mail so they can submit their ideas too.

The program is supported by an educational grant from AstraZenica.
