Calling creative, security-minded types

Clear, which screens airline passengers, has announced a $500,000 contest that should be of interest to creative, security-minded entrepreneurs. From Wired:

The prize will be awarded to any system that improves throughput at Clear's dedicated security lines by 15 percent, is cheaper than a quarter per passenger and wins approval from the government.

"We are open to anything, and my guess is there are lots who have looked at this process and thought of better ways to do it," says Steven Brill, Clear's CEO and a former magazine publisher. "It's a very visible process and the most frustrating thing we all go through on a usual basis."

Well, we all like to whine about it. Here's your chance to do something. Me, I'll stick with whining.
