Air Canada Launches New Service

Air Canada has launched nonstop service between Raleigh-Durham and Toronto. The carrier became the first foreign-flag carrier to fly into the city on a scheduled basis. The airline is offering two daily nonstop flights using the 50-passenger Canadair CL-65 Jet. This is Air Canada's 33rd new nonstop route since the Open Skies Agreement went into effect in February 1995. Travelers now have the choice of more than 1,000 nonstop flights per week operated by Air Canada from 34 U.S. cities.
