Pelican Bay Inaugurates New Solar Electric Tram System

The Pelican Bay Foundation of Naples, Fla., unveiled a new solar/electric tram system to reduce the impact of visitors on the ecosystem.

The tram is expected to provide 800,000 rides to residents and visitors annually through Pelican Bay's 43 acres of parks, recreation, beachfront, and boardwalk facilities. Each tram will reduce the carbon footprint by over 500 pounds of CO2
