Caesars' Yaskin Dies

THE MEETING INDUSTRY lost a friend in January when John Yaskin, senior vice president of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, died of cancer at age 48.

During his 14-year tenure at Caesars Palace, the property doubled its meeting space and nearly doubled its inventory of guest rooms and suites. Before joining Caesars Palace, Yaskin spent 13 years with Hyatt Hotel Corp.
