How Docs Learn About New Pharma Regs

Audience members at a physician panel at the 4th Annual West Coast Life Sciences Meeting Management Forum, held last December in San Diego, were curious to know how docs are learning about new regulations such as those included in the Sunshine Act. Here's what some docs had to say.

Based on his experience with previous statutes, John Kusske, MD, professor emeritus and interim chair, neurological surgery, University of California Irvine School of Medicine, predicted, “If you surveyed 1,000 doctors, 990 wouldn’t know what Sunshine’s about. It’s not going to trickle down into university curricula or as a grand rounds topic.”
