Minnesota Has a New Meeting Hotel

The all-weather Minneapolis Skyway system lets guests walk to the convention center all year round.

A new upscale meeting hotel has opened in the Twin Cities. The Hyatt Centric Downtown Minneapolis has 154 rooms including 22 suites and almost 7,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel has direct access to the Minneapolis Skyway system, an 11-mile heated system of walkways that can take guests to the nearby Minneapolis Convention Center, the Mayo Clinic, and sporting venues such as Target Center, Target Field, and U.S. Bank Stadium.

The 3,750-square-foot MAC Ballroom located on the fifth floor is flooded with natural light and can accommodate up to 350 attendees. In addition, there are four boardrooms and a lounge; the smallest can host 14 guests and the largest up to 50. Other amenities include a two-story, 7,000-square-foot fitness center and a restaurant and lounge, SIX15.

Located in a century-old building which was once the Minneapolis Athletic Club, the hotel has a contemporary interior design featuring modern furnishings and artwork from local artists.

Hyatt Centric Downtown Minneapolis is 13 miles from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
