Fax Nix

Do you use faxes to market your events? If so, be aware of the new Federal Communications Commission regulations. The revised rules, which were scheduled to go into effect in August but have been delayed until January 2005, prohibit solicitation faxes unless the sender has written permission — with a signature — from the recipient. This eliminates an exception that allowed an organization to send unsolicited faxes to those with whom it had an “established business relationship.”
