Pharma med journal influence, again

From Brandweek: Symptoms of Pharma Input in Med Journals. A snip:


    Few doctors read the FDA database. They are more likely to digest peer-reviewed journals and the various educational seminars they must attend to update their credentials. Thus, drug marketers have targeted such media for their messages, and there has been a growing backlash.


No kidding. It'd be nice if they also mentioned that all accredited CME, including journal CME, have a rigorous process in place these days to root out conflicts of interest. Somehow, once again, that isn't mentioned.
