Is it possible to safeguard a hotel against terrorism?

In light of the horrific explosions at the Taba Hilton yesterday, Hospitality Net is conducting a poll to gauge people's feelings about hotel security:

Protecting a Hotel Against A Terrorist Attack Is Mission Impossible

I agree 63%

I do not agree 38%

I don't know why I was surprised by the results, since I'm in the majority on this one. I do believe there is much that can be done to lessen the likelihood of an attack, to increase the safety of guests in the occurrence of an attack, and to get people evacuated to safety and needed health services more quickly. But eliminate the risk? Sadly, I don't think it's possible. Do you?
