FCC Oks in-flight Internet

Fcc

While the very thought of people yakking it up on cellphones while flying sets my teeth on edge and makes the hair on the back of my neck rise, I think this is a good move: Federal regulators voted today to give airline passengers high-speed Internet connections while they fly. It could go into effect as soon as 2006.

The bad news is that "The FCC also voted to solicit comments from the public about ending the ban on in-flight use of cell phones." Please feel free to let them know your thoughts at www.fcc.gov.
