Event planners problem-solve on the fly

This article in the Argus Leader about independent event planner Thomas Scofield highlights the innovative problem-solving that so characterizes people in this business:


    It happened when a Los Angeles fire marshal told Scofield he wouldn’t let a party after the first Latin Grammys proceed until a car in a fire lane was moved.


    No one could find the car’s owner. “So I went in with a 10K forklift, picked up the car, very gently so as not to damage it, took it to an acceptable parking location and set it down,” Scofield recalls.



Gotta love it.
