Alliance for CME call for abstracts

The Alliance for Continuing Medical Education has made some changes to its procedures and policies for submitting abstracts for next year's Annual Conference, Improving Collaboration to Balance Stakeholder Interests, slated for Jan. 17-20, 2007 in Phoenix.

In response to suggestions, the Annual Conference Planning Committee has extended the deadline for submissions to 5 p.m. on March 24, 2006. They also eliminated more than a third of the items that are required when developing and submitting a complete abstract, and decided only to certify the physician's track, so non-physician-track presenters won't have to provide disclosure information on the submitted abstract, though they will have to disclose at the presentation itself and on associated materials. The ACPC also provides more of a definition of the various stakeholders.
