A reader of the Boston Globe's Sunday magazine sent this in for yesterday's edition:
- Walking through the lobby of a posh hotel near Copley Square, I overheard a conversation between two women. "Are you going to lunch now?" asked one. "No, I'm on my way to nausea and vomiting," replied the other. It took me a moment to notice that their badges showed they were attending a nurse oncology conference. "Nausea and vomiting," I concluded, was the name of a seminar. I had just polished off a plate of steamers and was comforted to know that she wasn't talking about the restaurant."--Dr. Robert Kershner.
